I recently came across a woman who told me she was afraid of the dark. Slightly taken back, it moved me into a place of contemplation about our society’s fear of that which is unknown, that which we can not see or do not want to see. If we find our true intention of our life’s journey we come to discover that all that can be illuminated to us by assistance from our guides and teachersĀ is best accessed by our ability to slow down and intentionally bring our awareness inward and simply feel our existence. We are so encumbered by the hustle and bustle of daily life and all that interferes with our ability to deepen relationship with self, we forget how easy it is to lie down and simply follow our breath, even if for 5 minutes.

In this season of darkening I invite you to allow yourself the gift of rest by allowing yourself to absolutely do nothing, discover how restful and nourishing this simple act can be.

Blessing for a healing and rejuvinative Halloween/Samhain.
